OUR PROGRAMS

The children attend the Program after school and during the summer to divide their time between:

* Homework 

* Academics 

*Character Development

*Cultural Enrichment

*Athletics.

The educational environment reinforces age appropriate skills such as phonetic awareness and number sense. žEach student receives approximately 15 hours of program activities per week during the school year and 35 hours of program activities during the summer. ž ž

​​žThe teachers provide the students with a highly structured schedule and offer a firm guidance with high expectations. ž žBy fostering caring and supportive relationships the staff requires parents to get involved by participating in activities and by performing service hours in different capacities of the program. Parents also receive guidance on how to assist their children to be better students and how to get better involved in their children’s education.

The parents learn these skills in mini workshop style parent meetings.

Practicing Good Character

Students are taught  the six pillars of character  and they are given opportunities to demonstrate them in real life situations. In our Annual Christmas Under The Bridge event and our bi-Weekly Feed The Homeless Project, students and parents demonstrate how they care and explore ways that they can make their community better. Students Learn and practice these traits on a daily basis:

  • Trustworthiness: Be honest

  • Don’t deceive, cheat, or steal

  • Respect: Treat others with respect

  • Responsibility: Do what you are supposed to do

  • Fairness: Play by the rules, Take turns and share

  • Caring: Be kind, Be compassionate and show you care, Help people in need

  • Citizenship: Do your share to make your school and community better
